Checked out time at the condo was noon and had a flight departing Iloilo for Cebu at 8pm. The SM Mall has a transportation center where the local buses, taxis and shuttles pick up passengers. They also have a bag storage service and I contemplated dropping off my bags to spend the afternoon at the mall rather than the airport. The bag storage was 30 pesos and the shuttle to the airport was 100 pesos. After stopping at the mall for coffee in the morning and realizing how hot it was going to be, I decided to just take an air conditioned grab from the condo and hang-out at the airport, as I could use that time to catch-up on the blog and make plans for Cebu.
As it turned out, probably not the best idea. The airport is quite small with limit services and work areas. Instead of taking up valuable space in one of the few eating areas, I choose to do several sudoku’s, walk laps around the waiting area and nap instead.

The flight was all of 25 minutes. I soon made my way to the ride share area and was picked up with-in 5 minutes. The traffic from the airport into Cebu was incredible. Very congested and the motocycles seemed to out numbered the cars. I struggled to discern the “rules of the road” as no definitive patterns immerged! As a motorcycle rider myself, you really have to anticipate what other drivers may do. From what have seen in Cebu and Manila, there is no way to anticipate anything.
